Quite Separate to this, after a series of interviews and a medical, I have been accepted into Lancashire Army Cadet Force as an Adult Instructor. I now parade and assist twice a week at Corunna Company: Penwortham Detachment whilst I await a series of training weekends and the ACF Introductory Training Course in November. On completion of this I will be appointed a fully fledged Sergeant Instructor and be given the responsibility of teaching and leading Army Cadets. After my time at school as a Cadet and later as a member of the Territorial Army, it has been a refreshing return to military duties and one which demands a considerable level of commitment. Just a quick post to keep the site up to date. I have been a busy individual since the site was created - having attended the British Computer Society Preston & District Branch AGM I have been appointed the Young Professionals Group Officer. This means I am now the first point of contact for BCS members in the North West and also tasks me with the responsibility of publicising branch events and liaising with both Lancaster University and the University of Central Lancashire.
