Well it has been a long time since I have posted an article on this website. There are a few reasons for this but mainly it is down to a lack of time. Since my last update I have managed to get a new job working for a company owned by a leading university in the North of England. This is as a field network engineer which has proven to be quite a challenging and exciting job involving off road driving and Industrial Climbing. I have been in post now for nearly a year and as mentioned before I am now a fully qualified Advanced Industrial Climber as well as being well on my way to becoming an all singing all dancing network engineer. I am certainly being exposed to a considerable amount of telecoms and networking equipment and there is a fairly steep learning curve. Secondly, back in November I attended the Army Officer selection board at Westbury and faced the Army's equivalent of the Dragon's Den. I am pleased to say I was successful and subsequently I have been commissioned into Lancashire Army Cadet Force with a Territorial Army Class B Commission. I have also bought a house with my lovely Fiance and we are currently amid the epic task of redecorating the entire house including a new kitchen and bathroom. But wait that is not all! My beloved Rover 75 suffered a beyond economical repair breakdown and I sold it as a runner for repair to a friendly chap from Hemel Hempstead of all places. Not to fear though as I have replaced it with a BMW 528i SE E39 which is quite simply an absolutely fantastic car in almost every respect. Well I am currently absolutely exhausted most of the time but there is plenty to celebrate and I do not take things for granted. No cause for complaints!
